Oh to be festive

I have really been loving the change into fall! I just love the holidays and this time of the year really gets me going to do festive stuff. So whats better than starting it with frightmares!?

Mandy, Kendra, Isaac and I had a great time at lagoon going on all the rides. Even though I am totally into all the Halloween stuff we were all kinda chicken (except Mandy) to go through a haunted house. But we still had a great time!

You can't have Halloween without a part!!

Kendra made great treats and we were ready to party. Slowly people started ditching out so by the end of the night it ended up being Lance, Kendra and I. I didn't mind- we got to eat more food and I still got to hang out with two of my favorite people! :)
and...

What is Halloween without dressing up!?

My cute family- My niece as Rapunzel, Nate as the mime and my brother-in-law as Flin Rider I would say pretty great theme choice here!
For work this year we all dress up like nerds..it was harder for some than others to get a costume ;) Oh I just love my job!
It doesn't matter if we are old...we can still dress up! Oh I love this girl! :)

And now that one season is over we move right onto the next....I love Thanksgiving!!

A little get away

I got to go play with Sydney this last weekend. I have really missed her and loved spending time with her again, meeting new people and making more memories! I got there Friday evening we just got ready for the white out dance then hung out. We didn't end up leaving till 12 to go to the dance and being up at 6 that morning I was ready to head to bed. But Sydney wouldn't allow it so off to the party we went. It was really fun just dancing and hanging with Syd and the new friends I made.

I had never been to a BYU game and luckily Sydney found me a ticket so that I could go with her. It was so much fun! I miss going to football games so it was really fun to go to a big one like this!

I had heard so much about this sammy's place so of course we had to go give it a try even with the chilly weather. Nin my new friend was so sweet and bought my ice cream. They have these famous pie shakes, they take a pie and put it in the ice cream- oh boy it was pretty amazing!

Had to take some famous pictures by the Sammy's van
We went over to a some friends house after and talked lots and played some games. I don't think I have laughed so hard in a really long time. Playing the haha (putting your head on someone stomach and saying ha) game, this is so much fun game and attempting to tell scary stories. It was a really fun night and again fun to meet new people.
Then the final day of my mini trip came. We went to church and I got to listen to Sydney play beautifully for her roommate who sang. They did a great job! Then we came back and ate some food and sang some songs. Then I had to be on my way I was giving Robby a ride home and we convinced Sydney to come with us so we jammed and talked the whole way home.
It was so much fun to spend that time with Sydney! I really have missed her and can't wait for our next adventure together! Love you Sydney- Thanks again! :)

Reaching a goal always feels great...sometimes it even tastes great

For the whole month of September Kendra and I went with NO SUGAR! It was easier than I thought it was going to be and it felt really great to be in control of myself and to reach a goal I set! So Friday September 30th we went and got some stuff to make these amazingly great cookies we were craving and what's a better way to break no sugar September than Marshmallow Mates. We stayed up till midnight and ate big  huge mixing bowls full of Marshmallow Mates. I'm surprised we weren't up all night! But it sure was AMAZING! :)

Yay for us! I'm proud of us Kendra! :)

clean, clean, clean....kinda

On September 24th we woke up early and took a little drive. We decided we wanted to have a little adventure so we stopped by this little race called The Dirty Dash. It looked like a fun thing to do in the early freezing morning. We prepared ourselves for the 6 mile run but nothing could have really prepared us for what we had before us. Pictures speak louder than words...
Before and After

Starting clean and ending more than dirty. It was so much fun running through mud hills, pits of dirty muddy water, a swamp, some climbing walls, running through tires and ending with a big ol' mud bath. Definitely a MUST Do again!! :)

A wondering mind..

So apparently I like to deep think sometimes....

Have you ever noticed we are creatures of repetition. This came to my attention when my friend pointed out that we automatically get out of the shower or drying off anytime and we always do it the same way...think about it...true right!? When we drive to school or work (or any other daily activity) we usually always take the same route. I realized this when ever morning I pass the same biker coming down two hundred north. We pass at the stop light at the same time and everyday we make eye contact. Some form of goodmorning I guess. I also notice that when going to study I automatically go to one side of the library ALWAYS- I wonder why? I could be missing out on a whole new life over there on the other side, a new perspective and maybe even a new friend yet it is like it is a forbidden, restricted area in my brain. So why do we do this, as human? Get so stuck in our ways without even realizing it? One simple change in our routine could change our whole life...or will continuing on the same routine do that? All I know is I want to see the world differently, in a new way so to start tomorrow I am going to be a rebel and sit on the other side of the library...

Also have you ever noticed that when you met someone new then for some reason you see them ALL THE TIME!? It makes me wonder were they always around before you just didn't realize because you didn't know them and now you do know who they are so you notice them. Or is it just that once you meet someone they start stalking you so they are always around!?

In psychology we learned about how our eyes see three colors and it gets interpreted and sent to your brain. My question is do we all see the same color? How you learn colors is by someone telling you the sky is blue, the grass is the color green. But what if your blue sky and my blue sky are a different blue. Your green grass and my green grass are different shades. Is the world you are seeing the same world someone else is seeing?

I like to people watch and sometimes I can't help it when I pass people driving and I look at them. It is so fascinating to me that there are so many people driving and each one has a reason to be driving and a destination they are trying to get to. Not only that but they all have their own life story! Sometimes I like to make up their stories as I see them and try to guess where they are going or why they are driving this exact same road as me.

....and now you see why I have a hard time focusing on my homework!

Sometimes I have a life

Although I feel most of my time is put towards studying for my Pahophysiology class I guess I still know how to have a little fun! :) I just found out how to do these fun little collages and i'm a little addicted...

Kevin took all of us to a Raptures Game! I have been to a Rapture game every summer since I have met Jake. I was very thankful to be invited still this year with Jake gone! We had a good time playing the face game (move your face very fast and as much as you can and take a picture) if you couldn't tell!
Jessica invited me to come with her and some of her friends to a pole dancing class. It was so much fun and such a work out!
Heather came and visited me this weekend! It was really fun to see her and be able to spend some time with her! Kendra invited us over and Mandy taught us all how to do our own glitter toes! They turned out amazing!! Very fun, easy and inexpensive- thank you Mandy!
While heather was here we got ticket to go see Mary Poppins. Heather, kaitlyn and I all went to olive garden and ate way too much food then headed to the show. We had amazing seats- like 6 rows...from the back on the top balcony. I know jealous right! But it was still amazing! The seats aren't what I have to complain about- more like the people in the seats. (stop reading if you have a weak stomach) About 5 min before intermission the lady next to me started coughing next thing I know she was throwing up next to me. I freaked out- scooted as far as I could and berried my head into heather. It was the nastiest thing of my entire life!! It got all over my chair but thank goodness it didn't get on me- only my purse. We moved during intermission and the rest of the show was wonderful!! It was quite the traumatic experience!

We had a fun sleep over then the next evening Grandma Oram made us a great dinner and had fun catching up with some old friends. Thank you heather for coming and spending some time with me!

Go big or don't do it at all!

I have never had the desire to do this before. I have always poked fun at people for doing this. I don't know how I am going to do this. I want to over come one of my weaknesses. Be in control and I know the only way I will be able to do that is to go big and stop completely. So welcome to...
NO SUGAR SEPTEMBER
No more of this...

(I know you may be thinking oatmeal is okay to eat...not how i like it: maple and brown sugar of course with more sugar added- don't judge)
AND MORE....

Which honestly i'm okay with!!

I am in control!!

Childhood memories

Today I decided to relive my child hood. The tramp was clear and covered in shade It seemed to be calling my name. I did all the tricks I used to when i was little. Starting with a cartwheel and working up to a back flip with a twist- doing every flip in between. I barely made it through. I am definitely getting older! haha I laid on the tramp reflecting on the old times I spent on that tramp. I use to wake up in the morning and be on that thing, my imagination grew, as well as many bonds. Lara (my sister) and I would be fighting like crazy inside, walk outside on the tramp and were best friends. So I guess the trampoline has been a big part of  my life and is a security to me. I have the goal to always be able to do a back hand spring on the tramp!
