Snow Day

Waking up this morning the snow was everywhere.  The first thing I said was I am definitely having hot chocolate today. After going to a wedding/baby shower and running some errands with Kendra I came home to the fire place on and my mom watching a seasonal movie. The perfect setting for some hot chocolate...don't mind if I do! :)
Katie and I frolicking in the snow...kinda!

Jumpin Around

For work we had our semiannual marketing meeting. When we get together we usually do something that is active and fun to get our creative juices running. This time we went to Get Air in Kaysville. It was so much fun!

We played a mean game of dodge ball

and did lots of flipping...

The Book of Mormon

The first week of September Jake sent us a challenge to try to read the Book of Mormon before he gets home. Giving us four months to complete this challenge. When I first got it I just passed it by thinking I was too busy also I said I was going to read the Book of Mormon at least once every year he was gone and it was now way over that and I hadn't even completed it once so I didn't think it was possible. As I was pondering one night I felt very strongly that I needed to take up Jake's challenge and read the Book of Mormon starting at the very beginning. I started to listen to it on my kindle then started to listen in the car driving back and forth from work. Being an auditory learning person this really really helped me get so much out of it that I have never gotten before. I just finished this amazing book in only two months. I can't even tell you the blessings it has brought into my life and I learned so much from it. I just want to say that I know that this book is true, it can and will draw you closer to Heavenly Father. I am thankful for the challenge Jake gave to read this great book and that I was prompted to follow up on the challenge. I am also thankful for the great scriptures and words of the savior in our world today to read and grow from.

President 2012

This was the first year I was able to vote.
At first I didn't really see the importance of voting and watching the first part of the debates just made me more not interested in voting. Then when my mom told me that it might take two weeks to recount votes because it is going to be close changed my mind and made me feel like my vote mattered. So I registered on the last day possible. I took this very serious and talked to people, looked into what the candidates were saying and listened to many peoples opinions. I then formed my own and with the rights I have living in this great country I voted.

After voting Jessica invited me to one of her friends voting parties. It was really fun to enjoy food, meet new people and feel all grown up watching all the voting updates on the t.v. After a lot of drama at the party and then on face book at least I can say I am glad all of this is over.
President Obama was reelected as the President of the united states.
Many people have been bombarding face book with negativity about the reelection and voicing their opinions it got pretty annoying for awhile and I have decided I don't really like to voice my opinion about politics and such so with that said. We will see what the next 4 years brings us!

Things hard at work

This year for halloween for work we dressed up like things. Things 1-12 based on the date we were hired.

 Running around like things do
We always go out to lunch all together so no one has to go anywhere alone to get lunch this year we went into a public place and got many stares and even some pictures.

MOAB

My first trip to Moab. This is the group to go with, they definitely knew what they were doing. It was such a fun weekend. Getting out in the sun and warm weather and doing some amazing hikes and enjoying making memories with these amazing people. Oh and of course a lot of pictures....
Naturally the first thing you do when you get to a hotel room is test out the beds....check!

Before we even got into the park on our first day of hiking we had a little visitor ...luckily Elet some how managed to get out of the ticket and we were all able to stay in a great mood starting out our trip.

Stretching our legs after the drive with our first hike to delicate arch....
I loved this beautiful arch and felt so cool being  in some place that is famous for Utah.

Then we headed to balanced rock for a quick stop....

Then one more for the night we went to North and South Window arches
It was so pretty to have the moon rise right through the arch and an amazing sunset that night.
After our driving and the hikes we went to Zax for dinner ate some great pizza.

We woke up and got ready to conquer double O...
This was such a fun hike with an amazing view the whole way. It makes me feel so blessed to have this beautiful world around me and feel so big but yet so small at the same time.
After this long hike we went to some stores, ate some food, hot tubed and called it a night.

Our last hike of the trip that said it was a moderately easy hike surprised us all when it was one of the harder ones that we did the whole weekend with ladders and ropes to help with the climb...haha easy!? But it was sure fun and of course beautiful and such a fun hike.
Corona Arch
My first trip to Moab was definitely a success. It was such a fun weekend and I can't wait to go back!!
